The M62 motorway, running east to west, links Huddersfield to Liverpool and Manchester
in the West, and Leeds and Hull in the centre and East of the region. Running north

the A1 runs almost in parallel approximately 20 miles further to the east.
London is around two hours by rail from the neighbouring cities of Leeds and Wakefield
and approximately two and a half hours by train from Huddersfield station.
